Adam Lynn Duvall is an American baseball player who was born on September 4, 1988. He currently plays as an outfielder for the Boston Red Sox in the Major League Baseball. Before joining the Red Sox, Duvall played for various other teams such as the San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds, Miami Marlins, and Atlanta Braves.

Adam Lynn Duvall was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Jeana and Alvin Duvall.

He attended Butler High School in Louisville, where he played baseball. However, he missed his senior year of high school due to surgery for a cracked vertebra that he had sustained in his junior high school season. Later, Duvall played college baseball at Western Kentucky University, Chipola College, and the University of Louisville.

In 2010, Duvall was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 11th round of the MLB draft. He played for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes that season and had four home runs and 18 RBIs in 54 games. Duvall played for the Augusta GreenJackets in 2011 and had 22 home runs and 87 RBIs in 116 games. He played for the San Jose Giants in 2012 and led all Class A players with 30 home runs and 100 RBIs. In 2013, he played for the Richmond Flying Squirrels, tallying a .252 average, 17 home runs, and 58 RBIs over 105 games.

The Giants promoted Duvall to the major leagues on June 25, 2014.

In his first MLB game, he hit a home run off Cincinnati Reds pitcher Mike Leake. He played in 28 games with the Giants that year, finishing with a .192 batting average, three home runs, and five RBIs. However, he did not make any appearances in the postseason, as the Giants won the 2014 World Series.

On July 30, 2015, the Giants traded Duvall and Keury Mella to the Reds for Leake. Following the trade, Duvall joined the Louisville Bats. He played in 27 games with the Reds, posting a .219 batting average, five home runs, and nine RBIs.

In 2016, Duvall was included on the Reds’ opening day roster. He played in 150 games that year and posted a .241 batting average, 33 home runs, and 103 RBIs. He was selected to the 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Game as a reserve. Duvall participated in the 2016 MLB Home Run Derby, losing to 2015 derby champion Todd Frazier in the semifinals.
