She is not only a talented actress, comedian and writer, but also has a distinctive voice and that is why Seth MacFarlane, the creator of ‘Family Guy,’ approached her to do voice-overs for the show. The show became a hit and made Borstein a star. The show also got her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Character Voice-over Performance. Interested in performing from a young age, she performed her first standup comedy act at the tender age of 16. The actress struggles with a serious disorder, hemophilia, that has also afflicted her daughter, brother, and uncle.
