Amy Joyce Simpson was brought into the world by her parents, Clarence and Joyce Staley, on November 22, 1960 in the city of Shreveport, which is located in the state of Louisiana.

On February 13, 2016, Amy’s long battle with illness came to an end, and God greeted her as she entered his heavenly home by enveloping her in his embrace and carrying her away in his arms.

Amy attended Greenville High School during the first two years of her high school career before transferring to Lafayette High School in Lafayette, Louisiana, in order to complete her final year of high school there. After she graduated with her degree, she searched for work and eventually found it at a number of optical centers situated in Texas’s surrounding areas. She finished her working career at Trailblazers, which is located in Denison, Texas, in the United States of America. Her compassion toward other people, her loving attitude, her generosity, her zest for life, and her love for the Lord will be the things that people remember most about her.

Her zest for living will also be something that people remember about her. She was a member of the Lakeway Methodist Church in Pottsboro, Texas, prior to making the move to Sherman, Texas, which is located in the same state. Following her relocation to Sherman, she moved her membership to the Grace United Methodist Church, which is also located in Sherman. She was a huge fan of going shopping or taking mini vacations with her mother and sisters, and she made it a point to visit thrift stores and garage sales on a regular basis.

The part of these outings where they went shopping for a new hat for her to wear around town and to church was her most favorite part. The “real loves of her life” were her children, her family, and her friends, and she found the greatest joy in going to church on Sunday mornings and spending time with them as well as her other loved ones. Her children, her family, and her friends were the “real loves of her life.”
