Bashir Salahuddin is an American actor, writer, and comedian who was born on July 6, 1976. Salahuddin returned to Chicago after earning his law degree from Harvard in order to work as a paralegal there while saving money to relocate to Los Angeles. When he first moved to Los Angeles in the early 2000s, he worked as a waiter and a PA at Warner Brothers. Salahuddin and Riddle started producing their own online videos after not getting the work they desired. After viewing their films, David Alan Grier hired them to work as a writing team on his program Chocolate News in 2008. They went to New York after Jimmy Fallon invited them to join the writing staff of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Four years were spent with them on the program.
