Nearly three weeks after being struck by a car in Brooklyn, a 73-year-old man passed away.

Teddy Orzechowski was killed in the sad tragedy that occurred on May 12 in Greenpoint.

At at 4:22 p.m., Orzechowski was traveling west on Driggs Avenue on an e-bike when a 62-year-old man driving a 2017 Infiniti QX6 SUV south on Monitor Street collided with him at the intersection.

Orzechowski, a Bayside resident, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center after the collision and was initially listed there in a stable condition. Sadly, Orzechowski passed away on Wednesday night at around 11:05.

There were no immediate charges brought against the Infiniti driver, who remained on the scene. The accident is still being looked into.
