On Friday, a 66-year-old woman was fatally injured in a watercraft accident close to the Algonac Harbor Club.

Deputies were called to the club’s marina after a 23-foot Cobia center console struck the dock while attempting to dock, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department.

Clarkston resident Debra Fox suffered serious injuries in the collision. The 66-year-old was given CPR before being promptly taken to McLaren Macomb, according to the sheriff’s department, where she later passed away from her injuries.

The only other person in the boat was the 66-year-old driver. Police claim that there was no role for drugs or alcohol in the collision.
