Teenager Derrick Hofmann, of Prospect, Pennsylvania, has been named as the casualty of a fatal car accident that happened on Sunday in Centre County.

Four other people were hurt in addition to 17-year-old Hofmann when a single car overturned in Liberty Township on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, Hofmann was a passenger in a car that left the road and rolled over around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday in Grove City’s 2100 block of Mercer-Butler Pike near Amsterdam Road.

Hofmann, a passenger in the back, was declared deceased at the scene from blunt force trauma injuries.

With life-threatening wounds, the driver and another passenger were airlifted to a nearby hospital in Ohio.

Two additional passengers were taken to nearby clinics with less serious wounds.

The accident’s root reason is still unknown.
