According to reports, Emmy Cleaves has died.
below are condolences shared

I’ve been teaching for a little more than a month now. The hot room’s entrance has a photograph of Emmy Cleaves.

Last night, I learned that she had died and gone to the hereafter. She has been practicing and teaching Bikram for a very long time, beginning with him in the 1970s.

When I first met her in 2003, she was a hipster grandma wearing jeans and Keds. She didn’t have a purse, but she had the ability to create a business card out of nothing. She called Ardha Matsyendrasana, Spine Twisting Pose, Blow and Go, and she was both professional and a minx.

Despite the seriousness in each of her steps, she appeared to be walking in air that had been imported from a Melrose shop.

She is the source of some of my yogic sayings and quips. Similar to the previous position, “Spine Twisting,” or “Blow and Go,” as Emmy puts it, My words, your lips, as Bikram would frequently say, and so it is with Emmy. In actuality, she has the last say.
