A district statement stated that a Plainedge High School student perished in a car accident on Tuesday.
Senior Dylan Nuccio has been named as the victim by the Plainedge Union Free School District administrator.

The district made the statement following a catastrophic collision on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway in North Massapequa that pushed an SUV into the trees.

News  informed by a source that a Plainedge High School student who was on lunch break was involved in the collision.
However, the police have not yet determined whether the crash victim is the same student that the superintendent named.
