Remembering Saville Sullivan: Child Life Specialist at TMH
It is with heavy hearts that we remember the life of Saville Sullivan, a devoted 26-year-old child life specialist at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. Saville, who called Albany, Georgia, home, departed from this world on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Her sudden loss has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts.
The announcement of Saville’s passing came with a heartfelt message, “Our sweet Saville passed this morning. What a bright light she was. She is and was everything good and right in this world. We are broken and will never be the same, but we will keep her shining spirit alive in our hearts always. Fly high, little girl. You are free and with God. We love you so much.”
Saville Elizabeth Sullivan Larkin entered this world on January 12, 1997, in Albany, Georgia. The love and joy of her parents, Colleen and Tommy Sullivan, she graduated from Deerfield-Windsor School in 2015. Her educational journey continued as she pursued higher learning at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where she developed lasting friendships, both academically and through her sorority, Kappa Delta. In 2020, Saville graduated with honors from the University of Alabama.
With a deep passion for working with children and a desire to help others, Saville pursued a career as a Child Life Specialist. She found her calling at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives. In November 2022, she embarked on a new chapter in life by marrying Chandler, the love of her life.

Saville’s remarkable journey was marked by the incredible courage she demonstrated in the face of adversity. Diagnosed with stage 4 medulloblastoma, a malignant brain cancer, in August 2016, her education was temporarily halted. However, Saville’s resilience shone through as she returned to her studies after her cancer remission in July 2017. Her unwavering spirit earned her a Fair Hope Foundation Scholarship for cancer students, and the University of Alabama’s Office of Disability Services provided academic accommodations.
Saville Sullivan’s legacy will forever live on in the lives she touched and the countless hearts she warmed. Her strength and commitment to bringing smiles to children will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
