Support Needed for Travis Gilbert’s Tragic Loss

In the early hours of September 15th, a devastating phone call forever changed the life of Travis Gilbert’s family. They received news that Travis had tragically lost his life in a fatal shooting. The circumstances of his passing are heart-wrenching and senseless.

It all began when intruders, motivated by greed, entered his father’s home dressed in black, wearing gloves, and armed with guns. A violent altercation ensued, and Travis was struck so brutally in the head with a gun that he lost consciousness. Amidst the chaos, his father managed to wrestle one of the guns away, bravely defending their lives. During the exchange of gunfire, one bullet struck Travis’s father in the leg, fortunately, a non-fatal injury.

Travis, however, remained unconscious on the floor, and as he awoke, disoriented and likely in shock, he attempted to flee from the danger. Tragically, during his escape, he was shot by one of the intruders just outside the glass sliding doors. Despite his wounds, he ran a short distance before collapsing, unaware of the severity of his injuries. It was only when the blood became apparent, and Travis revealed the bullet hole, that the full extent of the tragedy became clear.

In his final moments, surrounded by loved ones, Travis uttered words of love to his father, knowing that his time was running out. An autopsy later revealed the severity of his injuries: a bullet had struck his lungs, ultimately leading to his untimely passing. Travis was only 28 years old, born on June 10, 1995, and had so much life left to live.

Travis had a passion for music, cars, and gaming, and he was building a future with his loving girlfriend. His family had never anticipated having to prepare for such a tragic loss, and they are now grappling with the difficult task of arranging his funeral.

Three individuals were involved in this heinous crime, including a getaway driver. All three have been apprehended and are awaiting court dates, but Travis’s family is left to mourn his loss and navigate the challenges ahead.
