Facundo Bacardi was a Spanish wine merchant who later settled down in Cuba. As her parents’ name is not disclosed, her direct ancestry can’t be tracked at the moment.
Meanwhile, the Bacardi founder was born in Barcelona, Spain, on October 14, 1814. He got married to Lucia Victoria Moreau, aka Amalia, in 1843. The couple had six children together: Emilio Bacardi, Juan Bacardi, Facundo Bacardi Jr, Maria Bacardi, Jose Bacardi, and Amalia Bacardi Jr.
The original founder had divided the company into four of his children. Amalia, Facundo, and Emilio received a 30 percent share of the company each, whereas Joss received a 10 percent share.
