Can you cut Lego baseplate?

LEGO base plate is a bit tricky to cut. It is too hard for scissor and too brittle for saw (and you will lose some spacing). Some use hot wire to melt and cut, but it is hard to navigate and, done incorrectly, will wrinkle the edge of the base plate.

How do you glue down Lego base plates?

Lightly dampen the surface of the table according to the manufacturer’s directions. Apply glue to the bottom of each baseplate, one at a time, and place it on the table. When all the baseplates are in position, either clamp them down or weight them with something heavy to help them bond while the glue cures.

Can you cut Lego with scissors?

Remove the LEGO bricks and apply pressure to either side of the cut line. Don’t be too gentle, gradually increase the amount of force you use and eventually the baseplate will snap. The backing can be cut using ordinary scissors.

Can you paint Lego base plates?

There is a spray paint called Krylon Fusion which is specifically made to adhere to plastics. I have used it to paint vehicles and it’s not tacky to the touch at all. That being said, I have never attempted to spray paint a Lego base plate and have figures popped on and off.
