Tragic Discovery: Ja’Marious Logan Found Dead in Sylacauga

In a somber turn of events, the body of 15-year-old Ja’Marious Logan, who had been reported missing in September, has been discovered in the Sylacauga area, according to Alabama authorities.

Ja’Marious Logan was last seen alive at an apartment complex on September 25, and his disappearance was officially reported to the Huntsville Police on September 27. At that time, investigators lacked credible information about his whereabouts or the individuals accompanying him.

This week, the search took a tragic turn as officials announced the discovery of a body believed to be Ja’Marious Logan’s. Subsequently, 33-year-old Latorrie Gaddis was arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with the teen’s death. Gaddis was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service’s Gulf Coast Regional Task Force in Alexander City. Notably, Gaddis was already wanted by Huntsville police for two second-degree assault warrants.

In addition to Gaddis, Deserea Cunningham, 34, wife of the alleged perpetrator, was taken into custody and will be extradited to Huntsville for booking into the Madison County Jail.

Two more individuals, Latoya Wells, 37, and Corie Wilson, 33, face charges of kidnapping related to Ja’Marious Logan’s disappearance. Both will be booked into the Madison County Jail.

As the community grapples with this tragic development, an autopsy is pending to confirm the identity of the remains discovered, and the cause of Ja’Marious Logan’s death remains under investigation.
