At least one of the two people killed in a car crash on Wednesday night in Lynn County has been named as Jadyn Taylor Boyd, a resident of Lamesa, Texas.

The 18-year-old Boyd and a female passenger, whose identity has not been revealed, were both killed in a rollover accident on Wednesday night in the O’Donnell area.

On Wednesday evening at approximately 7:45 p.m., a vehicle carrying Boyd and a 15-year-old passenger veered off FM2053 outside of O’Donnell and crashed into a culvert for circumstances still under investigation. Soon after, the car flipped over.

Both 15-year-old girls, including the driver, were sent to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

Both 15-year-olds, including Boyd, were pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma.

The accident’s root cause has yet to be determined.
