Whittaker made her professional debut in Shakespeare’s Globe’s production of The Storm in 2005. Since then, she has worked in film, television, radio, and theater. In 2007, she filled in for an ailing Carey Mulligan in the Royal Court’s production of The Seagull, and she appeared in a benefit play at the Almeida Theatre.
Whittaker co-starred in Venus as Jessie (Venus) in her first major role. Her radio credits include a 2008 version of Stephen Poliakoff’s Blinded by the Sun and Lydia Bennett in Unseen Austen, an original drama by Judith French.
