Following a head-on incident in Hendersonville on Thursday afternoon, a student in the 12th grade passed away.

Madison Crawford, according to Henderson County Public Schools, attends North Henderson High School.

According to the school system, Robert “Xander” Lunsford, a 2022 graduate, and Kimisa Buchanan, an 11th grader, were also in the car at the time of the collision.

Both were taken to the hospital, where they are currently residing.

According to the district, the crisis team’s school psychologists, social workers, and counselors are on hand to support kids and staff who are grieving a loss.
