On November 9, 1997, Al’Malik Demichia Herring, a defensive end with the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League, was born. He played collegiate football for Georgia before being signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2021.

Malik Herring was born on November 9, 1997, in Forsyth, Georgia. He enlisted in the military as a four-star recruit after from Mary Persons High School. He chose Georgia over nearly twenty other school offers. Herring had a total of seven stops in his 15 games played as a rookie in 2017.

The following year, he played in 14 games and produced 24 stops in addition to two aided sacks. He took part in 12 of the 14 games as a junior, starting nine of them. He was given Georgia’s “Defensive Most Improved Player Award” during the campaign. He started at the defensive end for eight of the team’s ten games as a senior. After the season was completed, he had 20 tackles.

With the Kansas City Chiefs, Malik Herring agreed to a three-year, $2,450,000 deal that features a $25,000 signing bonus, $125,000 in guaranteed money, and an average annual salary of $816,667. Herring will receive a basic salary of $870,000 in 2023, as well as a $878,334 cap hit and an $8,334 dead cap value.
