Mary Berg is a Canadian television host, author and cook. She was born in Pickering, Ontario.

Her mother is Myra Berg  but the name of her father is not public knowledge. When Mary was four years old, she was in a car accident  with her entire family in which her father died.

Her mother and brother survived the accident with injuries. Berg graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a bachelor’s degree in history and English.

Berg worked as an insurance broker after graduating from college. She quit her job in 2016 to participate on MasterChef Canada.

Mary Berg ended up winning the third season of MasterChef Canada. Berg is the first MasterChef Canada champion to host her own cooking show, Mary’s Kitchen Crush.

The show debuted on CTV in April 2019. At the 8th Canadian Screen Awards in 2020, Mary’s Kitchen Crush won Best Lifestyle Series, and Berg won Best Lifestyle Host.

The show, Mary’s Kitchen Crush won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Lifestyle Series again in 2021 at the 9th Canadian Screen Awards, where Berg also won Best Lifestyle Host.

Mary Berg has also released three cookbooks, Kitchen Party, Well Seasoned and In Mary’s Kitchen.
