She relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 to pursue her career goals. She finished her degree by enrolling at UCLA in 2012. During her orientation day, she found out that director Spike Lee had cast her in the HBO pilot Da Brick, “and that was the end of my school year.” Milauna Jackson won a role in the TV series Cold Case two years later, in 2004. (episode “Volunteers”). She also appeared in a number of TV movies, TV shows, and films. She was also a regular on Squad 85, a Gregory Bonsignore-created American comedy series. It first broadcast on YouTube’s YOMYOMF channel on November 13, 2012.Milauna Jackson found herself in South Africa for the show’s filming just a few weeks after auditioning for the role of DEA SA Kim Martinez on Strike Back. Paul Hornsby, the show’s military advisor, put her skills and knowledge in hand-to-hand combat, weapons work, and other military techniques to the test in Johannesburg. She also has a recurring role as the wife of David Duchovny’s detective partner, Grey Damon, in NBC’s Aquarius. She appeared as A.D.A. Rene Atwood on the ABC courtroom thriller How to Get Away with Murder from 2016 to 2017.
