She portrayed Elizabeth Holmes in the Hulu Limited series The Dropout, which premiered in 2022. Elizabeth Meriwether produced The Dropout, which is based on Rebecca Jarvis’s podcast of the same name. The series follows Elizabeth Holmes, the founder, and CEO of the now-defunct health-tech company Theranos.

She received multiple award nominations for playing Marion Davies in David Fincher’s 2020 film, Mank. This earned her nominations for an  Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Supporting Actress.
