Dalton Tate, a resident of Reynolds, Illinois, passed away suddenly and tragically, as reported in an online obituary published on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Apparently Dalton was involved in an accident that ultimately proved fatal.

“Family, friends, and good times are what the holidays are all about. There was no day of funerals for close relatives or friends. In particular, a child of any age. If only we could go back in time just one day to see what the future holds. There would be a lot of going back in time to yesterdays in order to safeguard that one person. We are so sorry for your loss and want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

While we mourn with family and friends, there are no adequate words to express how sorry we are for your loss. Sorry to hear about the passing of such a promising individual. Our prayers are with you at this time of sorrow; please accept our condolences. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

To help the family and friends of the deceased through this difficult time, please feel free to leave condolence messages and prayers.

A tribute to an old friend:

When I read the news about the loss of Dalton Tate today, it hurt more than I could’ve ever imagined. Dalton and I were only really close for a handful of years but growing up across the street from one another, it was inevitable that we were going to be spend a lot of time together.

Though we hung out for several years in groups, the years of 2006-2008 were definitely the closest we ever were and honestly were some of the most memorable years of my life. We spent the summer and fall days “souping up” lawn mowers by removing anything that wasn’t essential to make them “lighter” and therefore “faster” and proceeded by racing the two junk lawn mowers we acquired on junk day on figure 8 tracks and mud pits. We built full blown buildings next to his house with whatever scrap wood we could find and painting it whatever ugly color of paint we could find laying around one of our dads garages and even slept over night in them to test out the durability. We spent the winters mimicking my brothers band by forming our own band known as The Silent Q’s and recording some hilarious songs that still live rent free in my head and will for the remainder of my life. We paintballed, build downhill racers, and honestly just lived free during those years with not a care in the world.

You see, the thing about Dalton was, you learned a lot from him in so many ways just from being around him. Not only because of his ability to come up with some of the craziest ideas since I feel like he was always the mastermind behind them all, but also because sometimes you learned a little something about what not to do by watching him especially when we were younger.😅

At the end of it all, he as well as the rest of the crew that grew up in Reynolds were some major influences in my life. He played a big influence in my life and whether he knew it or not he played a role that helped shaped me into who I am today. Him and I weren’t anywhere as close as we once were, but it was always good to catch up on the rare occasion when I did see him.

No matter how close, the memories we made are something I think about often and I can truly say they almost always end in a good laugh. Thanks for the memories Dalton! They meant more than you know. Rest easy man! You were truly taken too soon. 😥
