The funeral arrangements for the young boy who died in a farm tragedy have been made public; his name is Noah McAleese from Ballymoney.

The Ballymoney community has identified the young boy who tragically lost his life in a farm accident as Noah McAleese.

On Friday at around 12:30 local time, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) got a call about a “agricultural incident,” as described by the service.

Noah was “the lovely son of Johnny and Corrina and adored brother of Cohen,” according to his obituary.

In a tragic turn of events, two-year-old Noah McAleese lost his life in a farm accident in Ballymoney.

His paternal grandparents were Seamus and Betty Cassidy, and his maternal grandparents were Kieran and the late Rosemary Cassidy.

On Monday, November 14 at 2:00 pm, a Mass of the Angels will be held at St. Joseph Church in Dunloy, followed by interment in the church’s adjacent cemetery.

Dr. Patricia O’Lynn, the MLA for North Antrim, expressed sympathy for the child’s family, who she called “suffering tremendous pain.”

The death of a two-year-old boy in a farming accident in Co Antrim is being investigated by police and health and safety officials.

In addition to the PSNI and the Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland (HSE NI), environmental health officers from Causeway Coast and Glens Council are in contact with them over the incident in Ballymoney on Friday.

Dr. Patricia O’Lynn, the MLA for North Antrim, expressed sympathy for the child’s family, who she described as experiencing “unspeakable pain.”

She explained that the town of Ballymoney is very close-knit, therefore the news had spread through the community like a wave of anguish.

Councilman for the Democratic Unionist Party in Ballymoney, Mervyn Storey, said the boy’s family is devastated.

To comment on the unfortunate event that led to the loss of a small two-year-old kid, Mr. Storey observed, “Words are hard to find.”

The pain this family is going through is unimaginable.

When asked about the incident, he reflected on “how horrible it would be to have to deal with such sadness” as a grandfather.

He continued, “We want the immediate family and the wider family circle to know how much we care and support them during this difficult time.”


The “entire community’s heart is torn” by the “awful catastrophe,” local UUP councillor Darryl Wilson wrote on Facebook.

“No words can explain how we are feeling, our collective hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to all of those impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy,” he continued.
