A 26-year-old member of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 who graduated from Brown and ran a marathon in Arizona has away.

On February 4, a race photographer took a picture of 26-year-old Pierre Lipton as he approached the finish line of the Mesa Marathon in Arizona.

He donned sunglasses and jogging gear that were also yellow. A small smile started to form on his face. He had both of his feet off the ground.

Lipton, a Brown University alumnus who was about to finish the marathon in three hours, ten minutes, and five seconds. It was a distance record for him personally. Under calm conditions, he kept up a speed of 7 minutes and 15 seconds each mile.

After completing the race, Lipton lost consciousness. He was taken to a hospital, where he was later declared dead.

Eleanor Pereboom, Lipton’s girlfriend, captioned the shot in an Instagram post, “He accomplished more than anyone I know in just 26 years, but he still had so many ambitions. “He is just here, a few steps from the finish line. He continues to beam. He is still flying after lifting both feet off the ground. He was engaged in what he enjoyed.
