On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, he passed dead as a result of being struck by a Stamford Police officer when he was walking along Wire Mill Road.

The incident took place in Connecticut on Wire Mills Road at approximately 4:12 in the afternoon.Tommie Jackson, often known as the reverend, was a respected spiritual person who maintained his modesty throughout his life.  He treats everyone with the same amount of care and respect, regardless of where they come from or what their socioeconomic status is in society. According to the reports from the Connecticut State Police, Officer Zachary Lockwood, 24, was driving an Interceptor Utility from the year 2017 in an eastbound direction on Wire Mills Road when the tragic occurrence took place. It is possible that the series of circumstances that led up to the collision were affected by the right bend that was present at the location of Wire Mill Road at the time of the incident. After retrieving his mail from a mailbox in the immediate area, pedestrian Tommie Jackson, 69 years old, started walking in the direction of the north when he attempted to cross the street.
