Robert James Kenneth Peston is a British journalist, presenter, and founder of the education charity Speakers for Schools.

Robert Peston is the Political Editor of ITV News and host of the weekly political discussion show Peston.

From February 2006 until March 2014, Robert Peston  was the Business Editor for BBC News and Economics Editor from March 2014 to November 2015.

Robert Peston became known to a wider public as a result of his reporting of the late 2000s financial crisis, especially with his scoop on the Northern Rock crisis.
