The riders killed in a motorcycle accident in Berkeley County on Saturday night have been named as Roger Austin and Avery Austin, both of Ridgeville, South Carolina.

On Monday night in Summerville, a single-vehicle motorcycle accident claimed the lives of the father and daughter, ages 44 and 18.

Apparently, around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, a Honda motorcycle that the two were riding on Cypress Campground Road in Ridgeville left the road for an unclear reason. The bicycle then collided with a stand of bushes.

Both motorcyclists were identified as having died as a result of blunt force trauma from the collision.

The accident’s reason is still being looked into.
