Ryan Wright, an American football punter with the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings, was born on June 1, 2000. (NFL). At Tulane, he played collegiate football.

Wright attended California High School while growing up in San Ramon, California. Wright played quarterback during his junior and senior years in addition to punting.

Wright was not selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, but on April 30, 2022, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings. Jordan Berry, the current punter, was his opponent throughout training camp. The Vikings waived Berry on August 25, 2022, leaving only Wright as a punter on the roster.

Wright won the NFC special teams player of the week award for the first time in his career in week 6 of the 2022 season for his 10-punt performance against Miami, which included a career-long 73-yard punt.
