Sanjeev Bhaskar OBE is a British actor, comedian, and television presenter.
He is best known for his appearances in the BBC Two sketch comedy series Goodness Gracious Me and for being the star of the sitcom The Kumars at No. 42.

Sanjeev Bhaskar was born in Ealing, London on October 31, 1963. Both his parents came to the U.K. after the partition of India. His father Inderjit arrived in Britain in 1956, and he was followed by his mother, Janak, four years later, in 1960.
He has a sister named Sangeeta who is five years younger than him. As with most siblings, they didn’t have a pleasant relationship as kids. However, as they grew older, the two siblings shared a love of the Beatles, Elvis, and old movies.
Inderjit was a factory worker who took on many responsibilities to benefit his family. He also had to support his widowed sister and her four children. The family lived above their launderette in Heston, Hounslow, and Middlesex.
He attended Hatfield Polytechnic, where he did a diploma in business and finance Later, at the same school, he pursued a degree in business with marketing.
