Sara Rue was born on January 26, 1979 in New York City, New York, USA. Her first film appearance was as Jessica Hanson in Rocket Gibraltar in 1988. Two years later, she gained recognition as Edda Pasetti in the television series Grand.
She has since appeared in other shows including Roseanne, Phenom, Blossom, Minor Adjustments, ER, Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane, Will & Grace and many others.
She went on to have a prolific career on television with her other notable characters including the role of Carmen Ferrara in Popular, Claude Casey in Less than Perfect, and Brenda in Rules of Engagement.
