Scott Stallings

Scot Stallings won the Farmers Insurance Open by a single shot over five other players in January 2014. Stallings lost in a four-man sudden-death playoff the following year, despite coming from three strokes down in the final round. He was eliminated on the first extra hole after making only a par.

Stallings was suspended for three months on July 7, 2015, for breaking the Tour’s doping policy. He used a prohibited chemical supplement and self-reported his infraction to the PGA Tour.

In July 2011, Stallings won his first PGA Tour event, The Greenbrier Classic. Despite struggles in the last round, Stallings was able to advance to a three-way playoff. He won by making a birdie on the opening playoff hole while his opponents, Bob Estes and Bill Haas, made par.

Stallings moved up to 26th in the FedEx Cup rankings with the victory. His OWGR rating rose from 224th to 119th after beginning the year in 562nd place.

At the 2012 True South Classic, Stallings won his second career event. Stallings was unable to defend his title in Mississippi because he gained a berth in the 2013 Open Championship when the Scottish Open was won by an already exempt Phil Mickelson.
