A man who vanished while kayaking in Greene County was discovered dead early on Sunday, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
The 65-year-old Sycamore resident Shane Phillips was reported missing just after 11 p.m. on May 18.
The fisherman’s wife became worried as night struck and he was still absent, and the incident was officially filed as missing, his family said Channel 11. When she arrived at the reservoir, she discovered his red F-150 parked where it always is at the landing, but Phillips was nowhere to be found. His yellow kayak, according to his family, was located in the water.
Phillips’ possessions, including his wallet, were completely undamaged.
Phillips was discovered in the water, according to state police. After he was taken out, they were able to match and identify him.
The inquiry is still being conducted.
