The Horry County Coroner’s Office released the name of the man killed in an overnight shooting outside a bar.
Starquan Washington, 23, of Longs, died at Grand Strand Hospital from his injuries, according to Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy.
Washington was one of two people shot Wednesday, but the other victim is expected to be okay.
The Horry County Police Department was called out around 2:30 a.m. to a report of a shooting. An officer on scene told WMBF News it happened outside Barfield’s Bar & Grille, which is on Frontage Road.
The officer also told WMBF News that police believe they have identified the shooter. However, no arrests have been confirmed.
“There is no remaining threat to the community,” police stated in a Facebook post.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting.
