Unexpectedly, Warrant Officer Daniel “Dan” McKenzie of Perry, Utah, passed away. In a social media post that stated, “My son-in-law, Dan McKenzie, tragically passed away Monday, leaving my daughter Judy and their four small children unexpectedly without their rock,” his mother-in-law verified his passing.

Who was Dan McKenzie?

Daniel G. McKenzie served in the military for more than 19 years. Judy and Dan fell in love in high school and were married for 19 years.

The couple is blessed with four beautiful children: Benson, Gracie, Kimball, and Cubby. Dan left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was one of the most experienced interrogators in Ogden, Utah, and a highly skilled military officer who spoke four languages.

Even the most serious individuals could not stop laughing at him; he was the most loved person in history. Dan was Gordon Murdock’s son-in-law and Johnny Murdock’s brother-in-law from Spokane Valley, Washington. We shall miss his great presence, love, and heart.
