Although Super Dave initially exhibited and was injured during wild stunts, in later appearances, he would often be injured in mishaps during much more mundane events during which danger was not anticipated.
Super Dave is often accompanied on his various exploits by loyal friend, sidekick and assistant stunt coordinator Fuji Hakayito (comedian Art Irizawa ), and his segments introduced and commentated on by former sportscaster/actor Mike Walden. Fuji typically initiates whatever stunt Dave is performing.

Einstein was born in 1942 in Los Angeles to actress Thelma Leeds and comedian and actor Harry Einstein, also known as Harry Parke. In the 1960s, Einstein created the character of Super Dave Osborne, a fearless but accident-prone daredevil who made appearances on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and other comedy/variety shows.
The character became a regular feature on Bizarre, and was spun off into several TV series in Canada and the United States, most recently Super Dave’s Spike Tacular in 2009. The series ran from 1987 to 1991, and was followed by the 1992 animated series Super Dave: Daredevil for Hire. Einstein would continue to reprise the character throughout his career, be it the 2000 film The Extreme Adventures of Super Dave or the Spike TV sketch series Super Dave’s Spike Tacular.
