The Homestead Rescue cast aims to assist folks trying to do homesteading work by teaching them new survival skills.

The hit Discovery series is now airing its seventh season, and the family has assisted dozens of families in their quest to live more simply. Over the years, the Raneys have been accused of faking certain storylines for the sake of the cameras, and some viewers have doubted just how real the show is. Is Homestead Rescue real?

Who was the Scout Construction company hired by Homestead Rescue?

The effort was aided by Crestview High School graduate Josh Mobley and his Scout Construction company, hired by “Homestead Rescue” to assist in the work. “Josh and his crew worked their hiney off,” Wendy said.

They had been too busy trying to build an off-the-grid, tire-bale home in northern Morrow County than to watch a Discovery Channel program about an Alaskan family’s travels helping budding homesteaders.
