Education
Wentworth graduated from New York University after attending the Dana Hall School for Girls in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and studying acting at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.
Career
From 1992 to 1994, Wentworth was a cast member on the Fox sketch comedy series In Living Color, where she was noted for her impersonation of Cher, Amy Fisher, Hillary Clinton, Princess Diana, Brooke Shields, Lisa Marie Presley, Sharon Stone, and others. Candy Cane, a psychotic kids’ show host who had a run of terrible relationships with her male coworkers, and the promiscuous teenage daughter of Grandpa Jack McGee (Jim Carrey) on The Dysfunctional Home Show were two of her recurrent characters.
Wentworth featured as a celebrity guest opposite Kathy Najimy on the July 23, 2017 episode (S2 E07) of the “$100,000 Pyramid” (The $100,000 Pyramid), assisting her contestant partner in winning the $150,000 top prize.
In collaboration with shondaland audio, Wentworth developed the podcast Go Ask Ali in 2020.
Wentworth released Ali’s Well That Ends Well in 2022, finding comedy in the COVID-19 epidemic.
