A 20-year-old construction site worker Loren Schauers had a hemicorperectomy in 2019 after his body was pinned beneath a four-ton vehicle at a construction site in Wilsall, Montana.
The procedure necessitates the removal of a patient’s legs, genitalia, urinary system, pelvic bones, anus, and rectum. Schauers’ right arm was also removed after being permanently damaged in the accident.

In September 2019, a former laborer from Great Falls, Montana, was almost killed in a freak accident while working on a bridge using a forklift.
He plummeted 50 feet and was crushed by the forklift as traffic caused him to move too close to the edge, severing his forearm and crushing his lower torso.
Doctors conducted an emergency hemicorperectomy on him to save his life, which meant everything below his waist was amputated.
Doctors did not expect he would not survive a month after the operation. He miraculously recovered and now chronicles his new life on YouTube.
Loren’s YouTube channel is shared with his 23-year-old wife, Sabia Reiche, who has stood by his side throughout his health issues.
Forklift Accident Amputated Loren Schaures Lower Body But Found Love And Fame
The forklift Accident left the doctors no choice but to Amputate Loren Schaures’s lower body. Loren was 19 years old when the incident happened in Great Falls, Montana.
Loren married his partner Sabia Reiche and now uses his shared YouTube account to give explainers and weekly vlogs with his fans.
Due to Loren’s movement limitations, Sabia helps with Loren’s daily activities, including changing his colostomy bags and showering him.
However, the couple is annoyed by inappropriate online questions about their sex and personal lives.
Loren and Sabia were asked about sex during an online Q&A session. “Atopic we are asked a lot is how can we have sex and become intimate,” Sabia remarked.
Moreover, she said, “that is a very personal question to which we will never respond or even allude since it is disrespectful. You wouldn’t inquire about sex with a random couple on the street, and just because our lives are different doesn’t give outsiders the right to inquire.”
