Earlier this month, Stray Kids’ label JYP Entertainment announced the group’s comeback. The last album produced by the Kpop group was a repackaged version of their album In Life, which was released last September.
Stray Kids’ member Hyunjin is all set to release music with the group after a long hiatus of four months. The group introduced their new album Mixtape: OH on June 26, 2021, along with Hyunjin which made fans go gaga. The artist had to take a break from singing after claims of him bullying his peers in middle school surfaced online.
Why did Woojin leave Stray Kids?
In an official statement which was translated to English, the record label said: “Woojin, who has been with Stray Kids as a member until this time, has left the group due to personal circumstances and terminated his exclusive contract. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused many fans.”.
According to a report by Distractify, an anonymous Twitter user, who has since deleted their account, claimed that she and a friend were sexually harassed by an “idol who is really loved by his fans”. In a series of tweets on September 8, 2020, the user claimed to have met Woojin at a bar in Seoul during the coronavirus outbreak, where he allegedly tried to touch them inappropriately without their consent, despite repeated protests. Woojin took to Twitter and Instagram and denied the claims made against him in a post that has now been deleted from all platforms.

Stray Kids ( Korean : 스트레이 키즈; RR : Seuteurei kijeu; often abbreviated as SKZ) is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2017 reality show of the same name.
On October 4, JYPE announced the group’s third showcase titled Stray Kids Unveil (Op. 03: I Am You), which was held on October 21 at Olympic Hall, and followed by the release of their new album EP I Am You the next day.
However, on October 28, JYPE announced that Woojin had left the group due to personal circumstances, and the release of Clé: Levanter was delayed to December 9 as a result. On November 13, the group released the music video for “Astronaut,” their first single without Woojin and as an eight-member group.

On June 1, Stray Kids released their first studio album titled Go Live ( GO生) with the title track “God’s Menu” ( 神메뉴 ), and included the Korean versions of “Top” and “Slump” and previously released singles “Gone Days” and “On Track”.
On March 5, JYPE announced the group’s third comeback on March 25, 2019 with the release of their fourth extended play Clé 1: Miroh, in commemoration of the first anniversary of the group’s debut.
